'The Michèle Welborn Band' recorded this album in the MADCAP cellar studio in Wolverton, Buckinghamshire.
It was creatively produced and engineered by Steven McDaniel, helped and supported by Michèle Welborn who fed and watered him and said encouraging things like: 'That bit's too loud...'
Jamie Masters mastered the album, masterfully.
Jenny Miles Freeman wrote me some beautiful lyrics to sing, and Paul Martin put powerful melodies to them.
I sang them with sincerity and gusto, and had a thoroughly good time doing so!
Michèle Welborn (that's me), Steve McDaniel, Paul Martin, Dave Cole, and Chris Jewell arranged the pieces, and then made the marvellous music.
Friends and strangers gave their positive, negative and interesting views on whether or not it should be made at all, such as : Yes, do it! No, don't! What sort of music is it, anyway?
We played at Festivals, Pubs, Clubs, and Concerts, and sold lots of albums.
And now it's available to download at the drop of a hat and the click of a button! So for those of you who've asked me to put it online, well, here it is. Now go on, treat yourself......
Oh, and if you want a slightly differently delicious sort of treat, 'Under A Big Orange Moon' is now also online!
Actually, so is 'Tongue and Groove' (featuring the superb and stunning playing of Andy Glass from Solstice), but then you knew that, didn't you? Phew, I'll shut up now.......!!
